I guess my husband and I were destined to leave . we would laugh at most of the pictures and be amused at the idea of witnesses dressing up like sluts and gangsters to teach a lesson. One time a "brother" who was very perfectionist gave a talk and mentioned the evils of watching beavis and butt-head it made us laugh and we would joke about recording it and harassing him and saying brother perfect did you say butt-head at the kingdom hall is this your voice butt-head butt-head it certainly sounds like you. We were on our way out a long time ago.

My mom got stumbled by today's Watchtower
by JerkhovahsWitless inthe photo on page 26. she noticed it and was wondering before i even brought it to her attention.. why is it ok for the jw posing as the "worldly person" to wear a cross necklace?
aren't jws suppose to destroy their crosses prior to becoming a jw no matter the monetary or sentimental value?
why can the watchtower keep cross necklaces on hand as props?

interesting as I was reading it I imagined a scene. witnesses standing in the parking lot looking like people who return to find their town has been destroyed by a tornado everything is in ruins and they look stunned but than they begin to clean up and get on with their lives and rebuild a better safer more stable place and you hear a report on the news years later that they have all healed and are doing fine.

theres a commercial with two little girls and a man says to the first one do you want a pony? she says yes and he gives her a small pony toy then he asks the same of the other girl she says yes and he brings out a live pony the first girl says you didn't say iI could have a real one and he says you didn't ask and a voice says even kids know its not right to hold out. my point is full disclosure is important. I was not raised awitness I became one in my 30's from a door to door contact . I knew zip about jws. I didn't know what questions to ask. this was the mid 80's and I thought what they told me was the way it had been from the start I thought I knew what I believed however they were so nice & friendly & had parties and I thought I was asking questions but now I realize I didn't even know anything had even happened in 75 so how could I ask about it. there was alot I didn't know and now all I have discovered makes me feel like that first little girl who said I didn't know I could have a real one.

when i think back some strange and funny things come to mind. there was a demo about being a spiritual babe and one of THE "brothers" sat on the stage wearing only a diaper and holding a bottle I was a new witness and it made me laugh. another time and elderly "brother announed that one of the elders was turning 40 today. and then a "brother doing a bible reading jer 36:22 read and the king was sitting in the winter house in the ninth month with a"brassiere" burning before him. those were funnier times before it all went south for me.

Ideas for spinning the change in 'generation' for maximum impact?
by bohm inthe change in the definition of 'generation' is the first major doctrinal change in the time i has been involved with the jehovahs witnesses (allmost a full year!
), and i personally find it pretty exciting since many hear has talked about how the other changes (like the 95 one) caused the first weak wtf moments.. what i wonder about now is how (if?
) one should discuss this topic with active jehovahs witnesses for maximal effect - so to our resident mind-control gurus: what are your plans?.
